
Dennis G. O'Hara
Dennis is a graduate of LeMoyne College and the Syracuse University College of Law. He is the senior partner in the firm of O'Hara, O'Connell & Ciotoli and is the author of numerous articles on education law. He has lectured extensively for the New York State School Boards Association, the New York State Bar Association, the National School Boards Association, the School Study Council, the National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services and other education law related programs. Dennis is the founder and president of Education Law Information Network (eLIN). He is also an adjunct professor at SUNY Oswego, where he teaches a graduate level course in Education Law.
Dennis is a member of the American Arbitration Association's Panel of Arbitrators; the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys; the New York State Association of School Attorneys, Inc., the Management Advocates for School Labor Affairs; the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; the National College of Advocacy; the American Bar Association Section of Litigation; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the Labor Law Section of the New York State Bar Association; the National Association of Bond Lawyers; the New York State and American Bar Associations; and the National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Dennis is admitted to practice before all courts in New York State, the federal District Courts for the Southern, Western and Northern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Dennis enjoys flying, dabbling in the culinary arts and is an avid golfer. He is married to the former Carol Schopher. They have seven children and eleven grandchildren. They are active in a number of charitable and community groups.
